ASTM A351/A351M-18e1 is a standard specification for castings, austenitic, for pressure-containing parts. This standard covers austenitic steel castings that are intended for use at temperatures up to 800°F (427°C) in pressure-containing parts, such as valves, flanges, fittings, and other similar parts.
The castings covered by this specification are classified into four grades, designated as Grade CF3, Grade CF3M, Grade CF8, and Grade CF8M. These grades are differentiated by their chemical composition, mechanical properties, and other characteristics.
