Stainless Steel Butt Weld Fittings Stub Ends
ASME B16.9 is a standard for factory-made wrought buttwelding fittings, including stainless steel stub ends. Stub ends are fittings used in piping systems to allow for the connection of two pipes or fittings with different end types or sizes. They are typically used in conjunction with lap joint flanges, where the stub end is welded to the pipe, and the lap joint flange is free to rotate around the stub end, facilitating easy alignment during installation.
ASME B16.9 stainless steel stub ends are made of stainless steel materials such as 304, 316, or other stainless steel grades. Stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability.
Stub ends have one end that is butt welded to the pipe while the other end has a lap joint flange connection. This design allows for easy installation and alignment of the flange in piping systems.
