Duplex Stainless Steel Tube Description
Duplex stainless steel tubes contain a balanced mix of austenitic (chromium-nickel) and ferritic (chromium-molybdenum) phases in their microstructure.
Duplex stainless steel tubes offer superior corrosion resistance compared to conventional austenitic stainless steels, especially in chloride-containing environments.
Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance: They exhibit good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion.
Duplex stainless steel tubes are produced in accordance with ASTM standards such as A789 (seamless and welded tubes) and A790 (seamless tubes for general service).
Duplex Stainless Steel Tube Application
Oil and Gas Industry: Duplex stainless steel tubes are commonly used in offshore and onshore oil and gas applications, including pipelines, umbilicals, and risers.
